Grace is born

Our adoption journey has hit full throttle as our new baby was born Wednesday May 30, 2012 right on her due date. Birth mom Deidra barely got checked into the hospital at 9:00 before Grace came into the world at 10:15am. Deidra is doing well and baby Grace has no health concerns and is just precious.

We got good news in the afternoon that Deidra wanted us to come up and see the baby. Originally we had thought that we'd have to wait until the second day to see her. So Sarah and I got a chance to hold our baby on her birthday. We can't thank Deidra enough for her gift to us and we also thank our support system which has been constantly praying for us. Each and every prayer has made a difference.

Oh, by the way she weighed in at 7 pounds 2 ounces and her length was 20".
